FISSURE by Nameless-Designer FISSURE by Nameless-Designer

Finally, tho long promised, long awaited (mb) FISSURE

This image took me roughly 1.5 months to make and im very proud of how it turned out. Started out as a rather boring c4d render and then went to extreme heavy editing in photoshop.
Then i noticed that it fit perfectly with the upcoming space artist pack destroyed worlds and so the submission was delayed till the packs out

and now it is!
go fave it :D

Now in this image i used my artistic license :P, i know that this image is in many ways physically impossible for many reasons but tbh i don't care much, i made it for looks and maybe a nice looking wallpaper :P

This piece means alot to me for various reasons, most of em personal. Hope you also like it

Daily Deviation

Given 2008-04-17
FISSURE by =Nameless-Designer is an absolutely stunning piece of digital art. The details are amazing, and the attitude is so magnetic. The moment I saw it, I absolutely fell in love with it, and the more you see it, the more you discover. If this is just one of the beauties of space, wonder how magnificent our universe would be. Whoa. That was the first word that came out of my mouth when I had laid eyes on this spectacular space piece. Everything on this work just screams out power, action and destruction. But I digress, time to talk about it.

The detail used in the planet's surface is excellent and well designed and the partially molten underside of the planet is a feast for the eyes as well. The meteors surrounding the planet's remains are well modeled and rendered and truly resemble real asteroids and debris. The lighting generated from the molten planet perfectly illuminates the nearby debris and even realistically reflects off some of the rocks and floating pieces in space. The large nearby star, despite not being shown on the screen does an excellent job of the illuminating the unscathed exterior of the planet's top crust.

The overall atmosphere used in the image is top-notch too and the nebulae clouds in the background are a great addition to the scene without appearing overbearing to the overall picture and remain subtle. The stars carry a nice pattern but at the same time don't appear uniform in any sense which increases their resemblance to real life star clusters in outer space.

A very small complaint is that some of the debris near the bottom of the planet may appear just a little pixelated or over sharpened but this could just be a flaw with my computer.

All in all, this is an amazing space piece by the ever-so-talented, Nameless-Designer. Congratulations on the well-deserved Daily Deviation and keep up the amazing work
