Corona

A huge solar storm wipes out a solar system not unlike our own. The local star has gone nova eradicating all of the inner planets.

After millions of years, all that remain of a once beautiful system, is a floating gas giant, and the remains of the stars gases, still dimly illuminating the lonely giant.

I was going for a simplistic and more direct approach here without any fancy effects. I tried to get across a scene easily imaginable in our own solar system, and at an angle that reveals not more than it needs too.
Started out abit different but after numerous crashes which hindered the progress of this piece i went for this approach.
